This has no relation to the movie with the same name.I'll apologize ahead of time for the low quality of the movie. See, this animation's basically a movie file embedded in Flash. Why did I do that? The original animation was created in ImageReady, which can only save animations as gifs or movies. The gif's around 5 MB big and can only have 256 colors. The video: 1.5MB with every color. Yeah.
The reason it was created in ImageReady was because this was a school project (Nobody in their right mind would create a huge animation in ImageReady). Working in more sophisticated animation programs would be done in the higher computer art class. ImageReady though, isn't really made to create 1-minute "epics" the project required. It's better for those annoying banner ads that love to give people seizures. Most of the project was really waiting for ImageReady and Photoshop to load up the stupid file since I started working on it in mid-November. This would also have to be the first animation I've ever done where I had to draw frame-by-frame. The drawing quality's going to be jumpy; it was the first I've ever done something like this.

You did a good job! Only improvements would of been if you'd used your own chickies as apposed to the sprites, but meh.

I've done this well over a year ago, and it was hell doing this all as a huge animated GIF. Trust me, I won't be doing that again.
As for a sequel? I honestly haven't given it much thought. Although I've been dying to learn Flash so I can actually make some sort of good animation. Well, hey. I have the entire summer, so something may happen. We'll see.

Heh, thanks. I can definitely say that I was probably one of the only ones who put the effort to do frame-by-frame animation with this. It took me a lot more time to do it, and I was like the first one to be finished with the project!

A Chicken Run 2? Probably not. But I'll think about it.
As for the blurry moving backgrounds, just a simple bunch of filters, really. I render clouds, and the motion blur them. I use 2 or 3 of them to simulate movement. That's pretty much it.
