Alcina sat studying the dreaded book. She sighed, turning a page. She stretched. Eli turned to her.
"Having trouble?" he asked.
"No. You see, I can do half this work with my right hand tied behind my back. It's just... fire can't beat water. Fire turns water into steam, which in turn makes rain, which in turn puts out the fire. However, if fire can take all the moisture from everything and make the area warm, it could have a chance. But that causes the area to become a desert."
"And you know this how?"
"My mum's friend from way back when caused the Sahara Desert. Fira made so many people angry," Alcina chuckled, "my mum had to get the others to stop them from murdering her!" by this stage, Alcina was laughing until her sides were going to burst.
"Alcina?"
"A-And then, when the water elementalist returned, Fira kept dehydrating her," she still chuckled, "And then *chuckle* she-she hahahaha! She got chased around the place! But there's this one time of year when she needs to leave."
"You okay?"
"Yeah. So, there's how it works."
Alcina turned and started writing it down as Eli turned to study.
"You sure you're okay? You were laughing a lot."
"Yes, I am sure."
"Certain?"
"Look, just because I laughed doesn't mean I am sick. It does mean my lungs hurt, though."
They went back to studying.
