This picture caught my eye when i looked at the thumbnail pic. It's interesting, you don't find many TFs anymore where only one part drastically changes at a time. As i said on your sketche, i like the fin and teeth. The color transition from the back of the basilisk's neck to the front of it is nice as well, not as clear cut as other pictures depict.

don't look at its eyes, they cause paralysis, or death(thought i think the harry potter series made that up)...

Anyway thanks, the design is more six legged reptile, than just a giant snake, thought would a creature that big need a paralysis stare... perhaps if it were smaller...

Ah yes, i forgot about the stare. Your right it doesn't really need it...

Ah neat. I haven't done anything like that although I am currently designing a creature and hoping to sculpt it in a 3D program.

Oh thats cool... if you ever what to commission me on just a sketch of what it might be, so you can then do a model, that be cool...

somethingmissed In reply to Dragon-Storm [2009-07-22 17:56:07 +0000 UTC]

Oh thanks! but I'm still learning how to use the program, its gonna take a while. I'd rather not have you do all that work and not see the 3D version, even if i pay you.

Dragon-Storm In reply to somethingmissed [2009-07-22 18:26:06 +0000 UTC]

Ah, well Just a sketch cost ten bucks, and depending on what it is, it may not be to difficult, and if you see it, perhaps it will inspire you to do the 3D model...

Sounds a tad pricey, but reasonable, i can understand. Well, I'm still thinking about all the details of the creature, its hard thinking about what details would be cool and others unnecessary.

The last sketch looks significantly different from when you started off, but there are still a lot of similarities.

I like the character concept.

If i find an artist that is consistent and interesting ill browse their artwork, even if their artwork is terrible, its the concepts and stories behind them that i find more important.

Ill give your gallery look over, there's a lot of content here.

Your art is definitely not terrible, its really good, really creative.

I don't see a lot of pics with backgrounds, is it something you don't like to draw?

somethingmissed In reply to Dragon-Storm [2009-07-23 19:51:44 +0000 UTC]

ah i see.

Sometimes not having the backgrounds is a good thing though, it puts a lot more focus on the subject at hand.
