Description Finally a fanart for my (and, apparently a lot of people's) favorite Disney crossover pair, Jim Hawkins (Treasure Planet) an Ariel.
This was actually greatly influenced by the wonderful writings and art of ~iesnoth . You should check out her story "Landlocked" and her art. Not just the Jim/Ariel art, either, it's all really great stuff.
Anyhow, these two are supposed to be coming down some steps in some kind of pallace or something. I tried something with perspective so no, Jim is not shorter than her, she's just behind him and higher on the steps.

Terrific work on this. Admittedly, I've never really seen either movie and I only really like crossover pairings when both parties are canonically non-attached (I have issues about making good guy characters look like two [or more] timers unless it's specifically in their character), but you did a wonderful job on this pic. :-D

Anyway, if you are still having difficulty deciding one which one of my pic requests to do, you can always flip a coin to decide. Of course, if you HAVE decided and you have yet to find the time and inspiration, that's cool too. I'm more than willing to wait. Quality over speed after all.

You're welcome! If you're wondering why I don't like Disney crossovers,it's because,to me,Disney couples are set in stone. They were ment to be together and you shouldn't mess with it. But that doesn't mean I'll go bashing fans of Disney crossovers. If you like it that's your buisness.Disney just really isn't something that I'm "into". I mean,I like it,and I'll always like it. After all,I grew up with it. But it's not one of my fandoms. That goes for non-Disney movies as well. But again,
I won't go bashing people who do consider it their fandom. And on an unrelated note,I agree with you on the whole "prince vs Beast" thing. He was cooler as a beast.

Yeah. Gaston was a jacka**. I think the only Disney villian I ever liked was Hades. And that was only because he was funny. But because of you,I'm starting to warm up to Malleficent. She's pretty cool. Only those 2 though. Everyone else sucks. Or maybe I'm being overly harsh. I hope no lightning
strikes me down for liking Hades. But don't alot of people like Hades? Don't you like Hades? The 3 Disney villians I hate the most are Gaston,Frolo, and Cruella. But Glen Close did a fantastic job as her in the live action films. When I was little,I was scared to death of Cruella,Ursulla, and any other evil woman from Disney. Cuz let's face it,Disney knows how to make villians! Now that I think about it,I kinda like Ursula now too. Hm,maybe I only hate those 3 villians after all. Who knows?
Here's a fun fact for ya,when I was younger,I used to hate all villians. But as I got older,I realized,a story isn't a story without them. And some of them were pretty interesting characters.
Sorry,long response.-_-'

S'okay. Actually, I was the same, villains terrified me as a kid, especially Maleficent and Ursula. Then Kingdom Hearts came out so I enjoyed kicking their butts. But yeah, the only villains I hate (and even then I use the term "hate" loosely) are Frollo, the queen from Snow White and Gaston. I really love Hades and Maleficent tho, they're awesome. ^ ^

But this means I have to start ALL OVER AGAIN! And I hate to start things over again. The truth is,
I'm not much of a gamer. My brother is,but I'm not. But I really want to finish Kingdom Hearts so I can get 2 and finish that. But God,I just can't get off my lazy a** to do it! Go on laugh,I know I'm pathetic. T.T

Thanks. That makes me feel a little better. Hey, I thought of another Disney villian I hate. That Claton guy from Tarzan.[God,what an a-hole]The reason I don't like him and Cruella is because I'm an animal lover. But you probably guessed that already. Peole who kill animals for fur make me so mad! Sometimes I just want to go in a store that sells it and punch the clerk out! Or do what they did in 102 Dalmations and pour blood on the coats and shout,"MURDURER!" But that would get me arrested. I used to think it's okay to get arrested if you got arrested for doing the right thing.
Like breaking animals out of a testing lab.[I've wanted to do that too,but I doubt I could]But now I know God gave us common sense, and we're supposed to use it. I still wish I could do those things sometimes though. Sorry, long response again.

Speaking of terrible people,I rented The Dark Knight today.[I know what you must be thinking. What does that have to do with terrible people?Well you'll know in a minute]I was laying awake in my bed last night. I couldn't sleep, because I was thinking of the Joker and how scary he was. What scared me the most about him was that there are really people like that in this world. People who wouldn't give a second thought to killing an innocent child. And while the Joker is an interesting character,
in all honesty,he scares the crap out of me! And I kept thinking, what would happen if a person like that came into my life and threttoned my family? Would I have the guts to kill them? I don't know.
My mom said she wouldn't want me to do that, but sometimes it's your only optian.

I've had nightmares like that, actually. But really, even if it was the only option and I did do that it'd probably haunt me for the rest of my life. Thankfully we'll never have to experience anything like that.

OtakuRangerRed In reply to Dragon-Wing-Z [2009-09-13 05:24:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, hopefully. If I killed somebody,it'd probably haunt me for the rest of my life too. A person like me isn't suited to fighting or killing. I'm kinda like Orihime from Bleach in that way. If I had any kinda powers, because I'm not suited to fighting,I'd probably have the power to heal and make barriers. Just like Orihime! I'd love to have those powers, but if I had to choose,I'd want not only those powers, but also the power to fly and super strength. What powers would you want?

Dragon-Wing-Z In reply to OtakuRangerRed [2009-09-13 05:26:20 +0000 UTC]

I'd want either an advanced healing factor like Wolverine and super strength and flying or telekinesis. Those can come in handy in every day life.

True. I never grew up with super heroes, but I'm getting more interested in them lately. Espesialy
Batman. Superman is too much of a boyscout, and he's too powerful.[sorry if I'm being picky]I think I might look up episodes of the old Batman cartoon. I might even watch some of the old movies.Who
knows? I might even end up creating an OC for it.[not to be Batman's girlfriend or anything like that though. That would just be weird for some reason]

Batman the animated series was awesome. It was one of the shows I grew up on. ^ ^ If you watch the old live-action movies, though, be warned, after part two they get REALLY corny.
You should also watch Batman Beyond if you ever get the chance.

I was around when Batman Beyond came out,but like I said I wasn't into super heroes,so I never watched it. I regret it now. And I'm aware of the flop of the live action movies. I watch Nostalgia
Crtitic's videos, and according to him,Batman and Robin directed by Joel Shoemocker was a giant
batbomb.[sorry, couldn't resit.Btw,the joke's not mine,he said it in his Batman and Robin review]And he also said Batman Forever had alot of cheesey one-liners. So,yeah. I'll probably only watch the first 2. Although,he said the second one was pretty dark, but it's not like I haven't watched dark stuff before, right?

Dragon-Wing-Z In reply to OtakuRangerRed [2009-09-13 05:52:19 +0000 UTC]

True. And it couln't possibly be worse than Dark Knight. Except Danny Devito(SP?) Penguin scares me much worse than Heath Ledger Joker, to be honest.
But actually, you shouldn't avoid the other two completely. They were corny as all getout, and Arnold however-you-spell-his-name butchered my favorite Batman villain but they're still an okay watch once. That's up to you, tho

I just watched the review, and I can safely say that I HATE the Robin in the movie. Seriously, all he does is b**** and complain! One thing I don't understand is,how come Batman, one of the most emo superheroes ever, decides to team up with sidekicks. But Superman, one of the most non-emo superheroes ever, works alone. I just don't get that!

Simple: Back in the old days of comic books parents found Batman too dark and brooding, so DC was forced to make him more "kid-friendly" and that's where the blue costume, corny gadgets, bad puns and the need for a kid sidekick came in.
I'm... kind of a nerd about these things...

On another note, there alot of songs that say suit alot of different things in my life. For example,
the song Face Down by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus describes perfectly how my brother used to treat me,
and how I used to just take it. But you don't have to worry,we're not like that anymore. We're really close now. And I'm not the timid little girl I was back then anymore. So if he were to try to hurt me again,I'd stand up for myself this time.

Yeah. I'm glad I'm not so timid anymore either. I'm still a wimp though. I can't handle extreme violence or sexual stuff. AND I'M 18! I can handle certain amounts of violence. Like Fullmetal Alchemist or something like that. But something like Elfin Lied or Higurashi I can't handle. Heck,I
still don't like the scenes in Princess Mononoke[one of Miyazaki's movies]where there were heads and
arms getting chopped off! And as for sexual stuff, well,I can probably handle anything as long as it's not yaoi or hentai.[I hate both of those with a passion]Another thing I hate are horror movies.
GAH! WHY DO PEOPLE LOVE THEM SO MUCH!? The closest I've ever come to a horror movie are the Japanese Death Note movies. Although I've yet to see the 3rd one. Forgive me for my contiuing to talking about Death Note, but I just have to tell you this. They're making an American remake of the Death Note movies, and Warner Brothers has got the licese.[sp] The director is gonna be a horror/slasher director, and get this,Zac Efron will most likely be playing Raito since he looks like him!Well if Zac Efron is kira, then God help us all.

Amen to that my friend!I've never seen a real horror movie in my entire life! Like I said, the closest I've ever gotten to horror movies are the live action Death Note movies. That and the time
when my only real life friend forced me to watch Hocus Pocus when I was little, but I don't think that counts.I really hate being a wimp though. It's not that I wanna watch horror movies, there are just certain anime that I wanna watch but can't because I couldn't handle it.It's not just the violence. I don't like seeing rape either. My therapist says that's good though.

Dragon-Wing-Z In reply to OtakuRangerRed [2009-09-13 23:10:11 +0000 UTC]

That is good. I think if you can watch something like rape or mutilation and it doesn't bother you there's something very wrong with you.
I hate being a wimp, too. Isla loves a lot of things like that and it just makes me sick, so I wish we didn't have such a big difference. But then again I'm not about to accept things I see as wrong just for someone else, even Isla, so we just accept our difference in opinion and focus on what we have in common instead.

Yeah. Sorry it took awhile to reply. I was watcthing The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya season 2. That's another good anime you should check out if you gut the time. But you might noy like it because it's slightly blasphamise. But then again, you watch Chrono Crusade. It's not dak or anything,it just portrays someone else as God. I'm probably not making any sense so I'll try to explain. There's this girl named Haruhi Suzumiya, and she has a God-like power to bend reality to her will. But she's not aware of it. And that's all I'm gonna tell ya,just in case you decide to watch it. The first season only has 14 episodes. I don't know how many the second season has though.

It is. It's a very popular anime. It's based on a series of light novels, and there's also a manga.
I can't focus long enough to read chapter books,so I read the manga and watch the anime.Haruhi Suzumiya is one of the best known anime characters out there, because of her personality and views on the world. But I don't know if you'd like her, because of the way she treats others. She kinda treats them like her slaves. In one episode, even called Kyon and Mikuru her henchmen. But that's what we like about her. But even though I like her,my favorite character is Yuki Nagato. She's so emotionless and doesn't care what goes on around her. And yet she kicks a**! Sorry,I'm rambling.

And since you don't like violence, there's only one fight scene in the first season. And so far, there haven't been any fights in the second season. It's a really good series with really good characters. But it's not without it's flaws. Like there's one episode where Yuki reads for about 10
minutes. And of course there's the imfamous endless eight ark[God I hate that ark]from season 2. It's where there stuck in a time loop,so the content of the episodes keep repeating with very little differences. Whoever came up with that idea is gonna get aquainted to the pencil trick from The Dark Knight. *long creepy evil laugh* Btw,I'm sorry I keep forcing you to talk to me. You must be board of me.

They used to have great shows like Teen Titans,Johnny Bravo,The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and other good shows. But now those shows are gone, and what's in their place? Crap like Chowder and Flapjac!
[sorry if you like those shows.I just don't] I don't watch tv much anymore, but I am looking forward to the Family Guy spin off,The Cleavland Show. Anyway, back on topic, what I hate the most is they left Teen Titans on a freakin' cliff hanger! We never find out who Red X is,we never find out what was in that case Robin had,and we never find out why Terra seemingly forgot about the Titans! WHY!? IT MAKES NO SENSE! UGH! Sorry, rant again.
