Finally! My cosplay of Raiden is finished!The whole outfit is waterproof, so I could get gorgeous shots like this one <3 This outfit is my favourite to date, and is the most flattering on me, I think xD

Sweet jesus, out of all I think this has to be my favorite (those eyes <3).
The fact that its waterproof too just makes me love it more, for some reason. The more accurate the better! And your hair is naturally like that? Its gorgeous and fits so well with him~

Neoprene is wetsuit material and is naturally waterproof. L200 foam is a closed cell foam (and what the knees, elbows and 'y' piece are all made from), and is also waterproof. Dive shoes? Waterproof. The plasti-dip covering the foam? Waterproof. Elastic cording? Waterproof. I used my real hair for the shoot, which won't come off like a wig might.
Essentially, it was just being smart with my material choices.

I had it special ordered to a foam store in burbank, near where I live. I'm pretty sure you can order it offline, too.

Actually, no. I designed the costume to be highly functionable underwater. The outfit is made mostly from neoprene, the material used to make wetsuits.

That's so cool that it works like that. Was there a chlorine smell or anything or did you febreeze it out? Does the neroprene make it difficult to get in and out of the cosplay?

Yup. It definitely smells like chlorine. |D I'm still trying to figure out how to wash it out. I've rinsed out most of the smell though. The neoprene doesn't make it any easier or harder to get on: the arms and legs lace up, and the main body zips on and off (as does the ribcage 'vest')
