Personality:
Although Amb has a bit of a mean face, he is very sweet. With spines and sharp teeth, Amb is often quickly judged. He doesn't let it bother him, though, instead he liked to show their judgment wrong. He'll often give smiles, speak softly, and go out of his way to see others smile. Yet, those that try to take advantage of this kind nature are often met with a very quick turn. Amb will often refuse to help those he knows are taking advantage of him, or call them out on the act.

Amb also struggles with his look in other ways other than his face. He had his left foreleg amputated at a young age. Although he's learned to coupe with this, other ponies pity him, something he does not want. Amb only wants respect of others and politely turns away any kind of pity he receives.

Amb is also very good with kids, often educating them on how you shouldn't judge somepony based on looks.

History:
When Amb was born, he was very rambunctious and loud, often running off to do his own thing. This proved to be a bit of a problem when nap-time came around. Amb also had a nack for getting up on high places. His parents didn't know how he managed, but he did.

It was when Amb started school that his nature changed. When he first started school, a foal came up and called him a freak. The others soon followed in the mockery until Amb got so frustrated that he pushed the foal down. The foals soon stopped calling him a freak and quickly switched to monster. Amb never let it get to him, he instead tried to be nice to those that bullied him

One day, in school, there was a freak accident. One of the school unicorns were playing with magic. This caused a mass fire, magical fire to break out. Purple flames engulfed the school. These flamed couldn't be put out with water, so a mass evacuation had to be done. Almost all of the ponies made it out, including Amb. But, there was one pony that didn't, one of Amb's bullies. Amb saw the pony among the flames and dashed in after them. The pony was trapped at the top of the building, but Amb used the nearby tree to jump over into the top window where he pony was. Amb offered to help the pony, but he refused to accept the help of a "monster." After much stubborn debate, the young bully jumped out of the window. Thankfully, he landed on a teacher, waiting at the bottom for the two of them. Amb, left in the burning building, attempted to make the same exit. But, his claw got caught on some of the flame. When he landed, the flame was burning away his claw and leg. When the adult unicorns were able to put it out, it was too late. The leg was gone.

His family was devastated and proud at the knowledge that their son lost his leg attempting to save another pony. They went to a local engineer to attempt to have a prosthetic leg built. Although his parents were proud of his actions, as well as many adults, Amb was very bitter and angry. The bullying continued, as if none of the school ponies took notice of his heroic actions. No pony seemed to care at all. He'd often get into fights of 3 or more ponies, coming home with bruises and scratches. Many would turn a blind eye, and when asked, he'd just saying he was climbing or fell in class. Amb didn't make any friends or interacting with anypony, besides his dads, for years.

One day, when Amb was a colt, he was walking home from school. He was bruised and scratched from a fight but was stopped by a small filly. She said "Hey, you're the pony that saved the pony from the fire! Why are you hurt?" He quickly snapped at her to mind her own business, the filly frowned and grabbed Amb by the prosthetic claw. Amb, not being able to fight back because his arm was being held hostage, was taken back to the young filly's house. Amb couldn't understand why she would do this, said that there was not a need to help a monster. She huffed and said that a pony shouldn't leave another one in need, that just because you look different, doesn't make you a monster. Amb was very shocked at the fact that somepony wasn't afraid of him, saw him for a pony, and remembered his acts of kindness.

From then on, Amb was taught, by the young Filly, to be kind, despite others bitter nature. That everyone is fighting their own battles and all others need is a bit of kindness to soften their hardened hearts. Over time, Amb has become one renown for his kind acts and soft nature. Grandponies love him. The young filly soon fell for Amb and the two have been married since.

Amb hasn't escaped from the bullying, though. Although it has taken a different form, many ponies find him to be a monster or ugly. This puts a very negative view on the sweet colt. So he often needs to fight against the expectations of other and the desires of others to see him fail.

Lifestyle:
Amb is a teacher, he loves to spend time with the young fillies and colts and educate them on bullying and how you shouldn't judge a pony by their appearances. He has prevented the most bullying and helped many of his children through very tough times.

Although, most new student's parents are skeptical about having such a character teach their children, they are soon to realize that he is one of the best out there. Although, there have been some ponies that down-right refuse to have their child be educated by a "shady figure" as a dragon-hybrid pony. Their loss.
