A doodle I did a few days ago while practicing my style...I did this one before the one of Sylvanna. This one is of my Character Mamoru Vanguard, he is the father of Ike Vanguard and in a Alternate Universe is also the Father of Shade Vanguard and Dawn Vanguard. This was my attempt of the character done in my style, vs. the Sonic style. Was not a big fan of the doodle...but I just needed something to work on to get somethings off my mind.Its still a style I'm practicing on, so I can use this image as reference in the future the more I practice on Mamoru's design.

I always think branching away from the Sonic style can be a good thing, as we never know where our art may take us in the future, and it is nice to 'step away' from it now and again so to speak. I think it looks great so far.

Just like I said trying something new. This one is a older then my last one, just gave me something to do inking and coloring this one.
Its just something I'm going to try...so my muzzles don't appear to flat.

xD; Hardly constructive criticism there, Kiyo. If you can't think of a way to make the correction of the piece better (even if you see the error), it's wise not to point it out, as it seems you're lacking ideas for how to make it 'none weird'. Just flat out telling him it looks weird without anything helpful to say before and after is borderline flaming.

In the face he reminds me a bit of Starfox.
If you were making a hack n slash video game he'd be a good design for some of the sword wielding grunts for the main enemy boss.
