These two were a special order by my husband's grandmother for her daughter...I guess my Aunt-in-law? Lol anyways! They were made after two beloved horses (the little one, Willie, is still alive) Sorry it's kind of a bad shot of them. Their pose made it hard to photograph them together very well

It's rare for me to do anything realistic, but I really wanted to make them special. I also like to challenge myself now and then so I don't get lazy about anatomy. It was a really good exercise, though it definitely solidified my desire to stick with cute stuff. While I CAN make more realistic critters, I don't enjoy it anywhere near as much as making cute stuff.

I get the feeling every once in a while that some people think I'm a one trick pony. So I thought it'd be cool to show just what I am capable of making, but simply CHOOSE not to.

I actually did enjoy making these two because they were a special project. After I do unique projects like this I don't really want to do them again. They're interesting the one time, not so much after that

I actually took progression shots [link] Someone suggested I do that on one of my sculptures so I thought it'd be fun to show how I made these guys. I'll do another for a dragon at some point

I WILL NOT BE MAKING ANYMORE REALISTIC HORSES.
Unless you want to throw ridiculous amounts of money at me, of course.
