Ta Da! Here it is! Finally finished!
I altered the image somewhat of the horse from the photo. I widened the eye to make the horse look younger. Also I had to make up parts because the horse was wearing an elaborate bridle in the photo.
Iām mostly happy with this. As always I can see flaws, but they are for me to obsess over and for you to ignore.
Original is 8.5/11", mechanical pencil on notebook paper. Blended with cotton balls (never done that before) and cleaned up with a kneaded eraser.

Great drawing, the shading on it is quite effective. Perhaps a little more attention to the mane area would emphasise a softer texture to the mane, as to me it looks a bit solid at the moment. The eye is lovely though, so dark and it really stands out
