Did you know that the Companion Cube is filled with dead/dying test subjects? Here are the clues:
1:the Companion Cube is large enough to fit humans inside.
2:GLaDOS tells you that the Companion Cube can't speak, but if it does, don't listen to it.
3:you never put the cube into a Disintegration Grid.
(Organic objects don't vaporize, but cubes do. Get what I'm saying?)
4:the fact that it's called the WEIGHTED Companion Cube tells you that there is something inside.
5:you can hear someone yelling "help" when you incinerate the Companion Cube. (Just listen closely)
6:GLaDOS tells you that the Companion Cube was about to say something right after it died.
Do you agree that the Companion Cube might have a dark secret?

Yeah I've been thinking about that possibility for a while, but you brought up some more valid points. I didn't know they yelled help when they were incinerated!

You can barely hear it, but if you listen among the metal sounds, you can hear the word "help."
I just remembered another point:
GLaDOS had said the Companion Cube had sentience (meaning: was able to feel and think for itself).
And GLaDOS also said that the Companion Cube "Couldn't feel much pain."
It's that word "much" that caught my attention.
