Description Whampoa Dragon Sculpture, Singapore

This is a blast from the past, an icon of times when Singapore was starting to modernise. I remember this dragon from family outings when my father drove along the expressway next to this location. Back then it was more a sight to see with water spouting magnificently out of its mouth but now it sits peacefully among plants.

Somehow I feel it does not get much visitors any more but it remains a memory in my mind. Not to mention getting the picture was tough because of the rain which cleared out as my patience almost ran out after 3 hours of waiting..

The result was definitely worth the wait. A good choice of perspective, the trees framing the statue certainly complement the silhouette of the mysterious beast. The warm sunlight feels pleasant as well.
