Ratigan nestles deep under the blanket, feeling cozy.
Fidget and Bill walk into his office. "Hey, boss, you ready for the big guys night out?"
Ratigan shot upright, head foggy. "Whu-? What time is it?"
"Time for me to drive you over to the rendezvous point to meet his Oyuban, Ryoshu" Bill pronounced his name as best he could. "For your anniversary heist."
Ratigan noticed Danielle and motioned for him to shush. "I shouldn't keep the old fellow waiting." Ratigan stood, back aching. He smoothed out his hair and collar.
You feeling OK, boss?" Fidget asked.
"Yes, just tired." He admitted, yawning. "The young ones kept me running ragged all day."
Bill and Fidget couldn't help but snicker, but sobered up once Ratigan shot them a dark glare.

Danielle's ears perked up as she heard Ryoshu's name. She immediately ran to her father, hugging him. "I'm coming with you. I don't trust that giant walrus alone with anyone in my family. Hell, I don't trust him with anyone in HIS family."
"Ya sure about that, Dani?" Fidget asked.
"Yes. Oyuban Rattano started respecting me better after that incident in Tokyo where he fell off the roof and Ojui and I took over things around the house. If he gives us any trouble, I'll give him one of these." She flashed a lapis-colored glare, making Fidget and Bill squirm.

Ratigan nodded. "Very well, just don't tell your mother. I promised her no more heists after our sixt litter was born."
Bill and Fidget instinctively zipped their lips.
Ratigan patted Danielle on his back. "Not to worry. Ryoshu, is more or less to his old self since his recovery. This is going to be a friendly gentleman's heist." Ratigan paused to look at a photo of himself shortly before he met Mary,

Goutenber's, a tall, hulking , steely eyed white rat that looked to be a Victorian reincarnate of a Viking. He wore a nice suit and a monocle, but sported a dark, menacing scowl.

Danielle gulped a bit as she looked at the picture. "OK, let's go." She followed her father to the car, where Bill was waiting to drive them.

"It is rather sad the old gang split our separate ways. After we... overthrew" Ratigan worded it delicately. "old GG Gutenberg, we all went our separate ways with different pursuits. Diangelo Rattagliawent home to Italy, took over the Rattigalia family territory, you know what happened between Samuel Dorran. Sam left for Australia while I rotted in proison and I slowly took over mousedom and met your mum of course... The Mysh twins married twin American cheese merchants and went straight and had a few litters of their own.." Ratigan sighed. "Until Ryoshu contacted me about arranging a marriage with Ojui, I hadn't heard anything from them beyond a newspaper article in decades." Ratigan sighed. "God, I feel old."

Danielle hugged him. "You're not old to me, Daddy." She kissed his cheek.
The car pulled up to the Opal Dragon Hotel. Danielle gulped slightly and rested her hand on her slightly rounder belly. The twins were starting to grow inside her, and she was feeling a bit bloated. "The Oyuban wouldn't hurt me if I'm with child, would he?"

Bill pulled over beside a rather elegant fountain in the park.
sitting on a small bench beside the fountain, partially hidden in the carved detailing, Ryoshu sat beside. Lala. He had fallen asleep on her shoulder.
She smiled, waving to Ratigan and Dani, unable to stand up and bow while supporting her snoozing husband. "Tag, Padraic, Dani." She giggled. "He's not used to late not heists anymore."

Danielle smiled as she sat next to Lala. "Hello, Auntie." She gave her a kiss on the cheek, then smiled as she noticed little Shin and Sho hiding behind the bench behind their mother. "Hello, little ones."
Shin and Sho shyly went over to the young lady, climbing onto the bench; Shin on her side closest to Lala, and Sho on her side closest to Ratigan. "Hello, Auntie Dani-Chan," they said quietly.
