People are always hating on goldfish, so instead of a koi pond, I did a goldfish pond

People hating on goldfish? I'm in college and I *still* go look at the goldfish when I go to the big superstores... How dare they!
This is such a beautiful piece. It has such cool colors to offset the warmth of the fish, and the flowers are so bright. The waters look very peaceful, yet still have depth to them. I didn't even realize this was a digital piece until I saw the video-lapse and saw the category, so I'm sure many who prefer 'traditional' art will love it. The fish have so much detail and look so lifelike, and the one popping it's head out of the water even looks like it is out and in the air!
The only thing I might suggest is to add a bit more detail to the flowers. Like some have commented before, they don't look as detailed, and it could throw the picture off. However, if your intention is to make both the flowers and the fish stand out, then leave them bright and beautiful. Another change might be the angles of the lily-pads. Some of them look like they're being jostled around by waves. But other than those two factors, it's an absolutely gorgeous piece. I can't wait to see more from you!

I love the texture, and how the goldfish's head is just popping out of the water.
I think i see some reflections in the water. Either that, or that's just the vegetation in the area.
I like how you show which parts of the goldfish are submerged in the water and which parts are above the surface.

First of all, I just wan to say how beautiful this piece is!
I thought it was a traditional painting at first, but seeing the time-lapse video it's clear you know how to make digital paintings look traditional.
That's a skill that a lot of people wish to have! (me included)
he colors here look gorgeous! The blues greens and yellows are perfectly fitting for the pond!
The algae is placed in the right places and not distracting from the fish
The goldfish's oranges and overall realistic look were very well done! I like the wet lighting added to the fish as well
I had goldfish when I was little, I wish mine looked this elegant lol
Just like any other drawing, painting etc., there are things to improve on!
First thing I noticed were the flowers (which I assume are water lilies)
The flower anatomy seems very plain for a water lily, which in a way distracts from the extreme detail on the fish
I suggest looking at flower references the next time you draw flowers!
The lily pad I feel like is also very simple, adding some sort of texture can go a long way
I also feel like the shading for the lily pad was a little unnecessary, makes the lily pad look a little thick
I do think the lily pads do look a little too saturated compared to the muted colors of everything else.
The only thing I think you really need to practice more is plants and flowers. I feel like with references and tutorials, you can get a hang of it easily!

This is very pretty, I love the colors and ripples on the water. The only thing that bothers me a bit, is the big lily pad in the bottom left corner. Shouldn't it be more flat on the water? Since the others are at more of an angle, it looks like they're floating on the water. Whereas the big one looks like something is holding it up so we can see it head on. Other than that is lovely, and I think goldfish are cute!
