Description Yet another layout requested of me on Horseland. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DO SPECIFIC CITYSCAPES. The requester wanted a pretty pic with a white horsey and the Dallas skyline as the backdrop. Not being a native of/never visited Dallas, I spent a good half hour on Google street view before I could start this >.< Despite my research, I ended up doing the skyline as far away as possible XD. Again, the backdrop is like, 2 pictures meshed together (the only water front view in Dallas is the Trinity river which is actually on the OTHERSIDE of that tree line, lol) and a heckuva lot of gradients.
Anywho, I'll be posting up the stock peoples soon enough. I've got Engineering Economics Class to attend to right now...ewww >.<

And zee long awaited creds:

Yeah, my gallery is mostly made up of horse pictures because I love 'em so much I find I get bored or give up if I'm doing something else like wolves or humans, etc...

I love horses too, they reminds me of the authenticity and glory past times. Even though, I don't ride them very often.

Sadly I don't get to ride much either >.< Butcha, I too can see a sort of ancient grace about horses. Either way I love portraying their beauty and general magnificence, lol

do you have a horse?

I don't have a horse of my own, but my aunt has a couple. When I visit her I take care of them and ride them
As for your English, it's not half bad. I think I understand what you're trying to say - at least half the time

AHah, your aunt is lucky to have horse in her house, sounds you ejoy visiting her evry know and then?

As for my english, I don't think so that you only understand the "half". But anyway, I'll practice englsih as well

Yes I visit her when ever I get the chance! My aunt is a very busy person so she loves it when I come visit and make myself useful. She spoiled me rotten when I was younger, but her farm is still a very peaceful place for me to be

Yes, she lives out in the country. I love it there because it's so inspirational You're pretty much stuck at home which is great for me because then I can concentrate on art and writing as opposed to seeing friends and such

Yeah, you're so right, live in countryside is much more cozy and tranquil. whenever I got tired, I go to my village whcih my best getaway, and there I can get more inspirations and do so much creativity out there.

You always pick the most perfect horse stocks to use. I absolutely LOVE how you've used yellows and pinks and purples in the background - really makes the white pop. I like how you've added hints of those colors to the horse's coat, too.

I've never been to Dallas either, so I can't offer any helpful commentary on the cityline, but the whole thing still looks fabulous, as always ^-^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dream-seer In reply to Sirandea [2009-11-15 07:18:18 +0000 UTC]

lol, it's more like the stock horseys I use pick the perfect bg and vice versa And yesh, I LURV overlaying gradients, especially multiple gradients, lol The white did get emphasized quite nicely, but I think that's more due to the dark rocks.

Glad you noticed the hints o' color in the pony's coat too I like it when people notice I paid attention to detail. I just hope that the little details help to make the picture, and not make it look silly

"Fabulous, as always" <-- I wouldn't say that if I were you. I can barely squeeze my inflated ego through a standard sized door as it is, lol.
Thankies for zee comment though

Sirandea In reply to dream-seer [2009-11-18 15:29:19 +0000 UTC]

Heehee, well, that works too!
I love using overlapping gradients for the sky, too. Use them right and they look super awesome ^-^

It's always good when the detail is there, even if it's not noticeable. If it wasn't there, the whole thing would look less real, for sure ^_~ And don't worry - they help make the picture. Not silly at all!

Ha! But it's true, so I'll say it anyway :D
And you're welcome!

oh man i cant imagine. u had such specific details to work on. i hate that. i like free reign for that reason. i rarely take orders that are too demanding or difficult cause then its no fun :[ but somehow u persevered haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dream-seer In reply to venomxbaby [2009-11-15 07:27:10 +0000 UTC]

lol, I'm the same way. Usually I'll only accept the breed and color of the horse and then what the RPer wants the overall mood of their picture to be. Every once in awhile, I'll dig for specifics, especially if I'm feeling particularly museless, but this is rarely.

The only reason I managed to stick with this picture was because I was feelin' up for a challenge right then, lol. Otherwise I would have been like "yea no next"
