It´s my favourite lens because
I like the depth of field which comes
with the arperture 1.8

Which 50mm or body do you have?

i LOVE the depth of field with the 1.8!!
but here's the problem
i have a d40x which is built for the newer AF-S or AF-I lenses
my nikkor f1.8/50mm uses an AF motor for autofocus so i am not able to autofocus with my camera

i can still manual focus
but when you are working with such a narrow depth of field at f1.8, it's very difficult to get it focused just right

so i'm just gonna have to wait for my d300...


i see that you shoot with a canon.
what body do you have?

than nothing

Cool! go for the D300!
that camera is brillant for portraits
(We use the D300 in our store)

And I will always shoot with a Canon
I have the EOS 400D(Digital Rebel XTI)

like my photog friend
he only shoots canon as well
he has the 400D
but he also has a 40D and a 20D...

i think he's in love with his cameras or something like that
