Description This is a joint project between my sister Nicky :iconnikknox: and I. I had started the painting in traditional mediums in about 1993 and tossed the unfinished image in a closet until about a few months ago. Nicky had asked for any unfinished work so she could try her hand at it digitally. Once she did work on it she handed it back to me to finish it off.

I really like how well this turned out. The setting sun in the bg and her wisps of hair caught in a light breeze create a very "life like" feel to the painting. excellent job!

Thanx. Nick did the first part of her face and I just did some touch ups. The truth is we worked form a photos of Nicky face to get the right angels etc.

Thanks Doc im very pleased on the colors as well. I really wanted to have better view of the ships deck but nothing would fit into the image like it was in my mind. I found some images to work with but I dont think they where the right ship for the image. oh well

There it is.... Fantastic. I love the colors. Background is wonderful, though its unfortunate the closer pirate ship couldn't be used. Overall I'm really glad to see it... great stuff!

I looked all over for something I could use as a closer ship but I was afraid I would get it all wrong with the look and the type so I cheated with that one
