Also, in case you'd forgotten as I had: Cuba was the second place Columbus ever visited, being the second stop on his first voyage in 1492. The first place was the Bahamas.
Italians are just the greatest explorers, aren't they? The Italians go and discover things, and then the Spanish go and conquer them. I can imagine Spain sending Romano or Italy out, and then having one of the two Italians discover and fawn over how adorable Cuba is or something. And then, upon reporting their discovery to Spain, Spain goes, "OHOHO? MORE CHILDREN, DID YOU SAY?" and molests subjugates Cuba.
I need to learn to draw better. Hm.
