Indeed. El tema tiene que haber pasado por algun proceso raro en latín, dado que el docto medieval no usaría una lengua tan burda como el inglés actual (y hablamso de flamencos, normandos, castellanos, vascos y una mansa cantidad de dialectos locales).

La gente que se confunde es joven y solo han jugado rpgs japoneses con harpías guapas XDDDD

well, is a kinda of common mistake... in english is mermaid and siren, don't? in spanish we have only one word to both XD so, we have to be carefull to don't make mistakes

The fish people are called "mermaid" or "merfolk"... in spanish we use the word "sirena"for both of them: the bird-woman, and the Fish-woman... i think maybe the mistake was in dark ages 'cause the spanish had its origins on the latin-lenguage :3
