I've obviously been a little morbid these days given my dog's recent death, so I decided to try to get it out in art. Plus it gives me something to do to take my mind from it. So, that's where this sprang from. For those of you who might not have heard of the term "Sunday best" before, it sprang from older days when a person would wear their best outfit to church on Sunday, so if you're wearing your Sunday best, you're wearing your nicest outfit.I did a lot of lighting work with this one to get the stock images to match the lighting of the background picture. That background is gorgeous freaking stock! I was shocked to find it offered on SXC as stock.

Despite the title, this is actually a very beautiful and emotive piece of Artwork. You've obviously put a lot of work into creating this image, and the result is stunning.
The image looks like a painting. The details and colours have a wonderfully smooth texture and tone. The sky looks amazing, and I love the lighting effect. It brings warmth into the mood of the piece, and contrasts with the broken ice.
There is a also a strong emotive content too. Feelings of contemplation and reflection perhaps, as the girl stands looking out into the distance. It's a well composed and powerful piece of quality Art.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. 
When I lived back home, we always had cats, and they brought a great deal of love into the family home. With each loss, the grief was immense. I cried for days, and even now I think of them.
I have a photo of one of our cats, "Candy", sitting next to my computer so I can see her every day. It helps. Candy lived to the age of 19, which is very old in cat years, but she had a good life and was well loved.

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment and for taking the time to really study the piece of art. I was feeling a lot of mixed emotions (about death) when making it. There's the initial grief, then the relief of not seeing your loved one suffer any longer, and the knowledge that you will see them again upon your death.

That's okay.
In time, the initial pain of the loss will fade, allowing you to move on. Just let your feelings out, otherwise you could easily lapse into Depression. It will take time but I am sure you will feel better, and all feelings of grief will be replaced by fond memories of the happier times.
