I love Recess. So much. Loved it as a kid, still love it as an adult. My sister *Zimeta has been wanting me to draw TJ for...forever, so she finally bribed me to do it! And it was a lot of fun drawing the little fatty. And on the subject of TJ being a little fat, the designs in Recess are just great. So diverse and memorable!

What I like about TJ is the fact that he is never afraid to act how kids should act, along with having terrific true leadership skills. That is one of many reasons why I give Recess a thumbs up. I still think it's one of the best animated TV shows Disney has made.

I got to admit; Recess was the greatest TV show set in Arkansas.

My favorite childhood show. TJ was the best male child character in Disney; and your right when you say things are diverse. The girls didn't all look the same, and the boys didn't look like re-used models of Mowgli, Arthur and Christopher Robin XD

That show was amazing! Though I (used to) find
it confusing how their school ended at grade 5.
I've used to also find it annoying that TJ looks like
the bully at my elementary school who'd steal my
artwork and pass it off as his own.

I really like that the hat is the only thing coloured in this, its bold but doesn't detract attention from the rest of the drawing.

After I saw this I had to run out and watch a bunch of episodes. I miss cartoons like this, though it is funny how much more penetrating the morals are now that I'm older. I must have been a dense kid or something. XD
