Any horse sport was it for money or just sporting is just wrong becouse it pushes people to abuse animals like this /: People don't think about the horse. It does if you force it to do thats trough pain not will. I dont even go watch any horse shows/races becouse the horses suffer how can anyone want to support abuse by presence or watch animal abuse. Ignorance...

You have problems...
This shot showcase a second of a situation! Such a scene is not common in the polo sport!
Ignore me, for me that doesn't matters.

There is no need for me to ignore anyone who sees things different and no need for you to say I've problems.

Excellent capture, I play polocrosse (similar to polo) and by the look of this horse it is not in distress, just in a physically strange position. The whites of his eyes are not glowing through, I see nothing wrong.
Amazing photo!

Ah, unfortunately I've been there on a very strong horse that wouldn't check up - not that extreme, but I feel for the horse and the rider.
Wonderful action capture!

this is beautiful, I love the pose, and the black and white is perfect since it focuses attention to the horse's pose

beautiful shot, but I can't help feeling sorry for the horse.... polo players are so rough with their horses mouths, as you can see here very clearly.... I prefer people who ride with a little more respect for these incredible creatures

Wow, it's eye's look dead, and it's legs locked. It really does remind me of a Rocking Horse.

Whoa! Polo and rodeo are two things I'd love to photograph because of the extreme action and unpredicatability. This looks really fantastic in black and white, as do all your photos. What a perfect photo. Reminiscent of those horse paintings in the 1800s.

wow, nice capture! i've been to a few polo games, that's an amazing shot - they go so fast!
i'm curious, did the horse stay on it's feet after that? it looks as though it's about to fall over ^_^

DrNoPlan In reply to courbette [2007-07-24 16:11:15 +0000 UTC]
The horse stays after that massive brake. I think the player was forced to stop and the horse wanna run ahead.
