Another really small thing---
ballet dancers en pointe wrap the ribbons of their shoes many times around their ankles. It's impossible to get them to stick to the skin on the calf, they're just satin ribbons and would fall down. So they're just around the thin part of the ankle like a messy bandage.
(don't get any ideas, my little sister was a dancer her whole life. You couldn't force me to do it. My mom tried, I quit when I was 6. hahaha)
