Yet another brand new pic. As many of mine do, this one requires a little explaining...

I recently acquired Sonic Rush for the DS. The plot of this game revolves around an alternate universe separate from the one in which Sonic lives. The hero of which is the lovely Blaze the Cat. In many ways, Blaze is the polar opposite of our blue speed-demon (she even spins sideways instead of end-over-end like nearly every other characters in the Sonic universe) but eventually she and Sonic see eye-to-eye and team up to help defeat the combined threat of Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega (see [link] ).

In one article I read explaining the premise of the game as I have done above, it said that "Blaze the Cat should not be confused with Big the Cat", the chunky, kind-hearted master fisherman from Sonic Adventure and Sonic Heroes. "What an interesting juxtaposition" I thought, and you all know how I like to find FA and WG connections in odd places. Having 'gotten to know' Blaze better through playing the game, I concluded that she was the first female Sonic character worthy of being fattened up (I admit that Rouge the Bat is quite the hottie, but I could never quite see her that way, with the exception of vOLCOMsTAR's Rouge pic, seen here [link] ) So a funny idea for a WG pic came to me, and here it is.

It seems Blaze has picked up some of her fellow feline Big's eating habits, and decides she better hang out with somebody else for a while. Poor naive Big just can't figure out why Blaze wants to leave so suddenly. Meanwhile, his little pal Froggy (Kaero-kun in Japan) who's really the brains of the duo, is having a reaction that I would assume is not too dissimiliar from that of many of you.

I'm not really happy with how this turned out, I think I could have done Blaze much better, particularly the face and arms, but I didn't want to erase parts of her and end up making it look even worse. I guess I'll just have to revisit it. Oh, well. And in case you can't read what Blaze is saying because of it being cut off (or because of my crappy handwriting), she's saying: "Big, I have got to stop hanging out with you."
