Gosh, I love your style. What did you use to color?

Thank you so much! I used colored pencils. I have this set of mini crayolas that come in a whole bunch of colors and they work really well despite being, like, not professional lol. My dad lets me use his professional colored pencils though, and I have used them on a lot of other drawings. In my opinion, the crayolas and the professional pencils work equally well, but they feel different to use.Β

Yeah, it looks real nice! I guessed it was color pencils, but the texture seems so different. It almost feels like crayons with watercolor (Idek why lol), but this isn't as rough as crayons come out as, so it looks real neat. I feel the same, they seem to have almost the same results. Although, my Prismacolors seem to be a little more "smoother" and feel "softer," the results aren't so drastically different from Crayolas. It just depends on how you use them, I guess? Nonetheless, great job!

Thanks again! Well, I think the scanner may be responsible for some of what you're talking about. My scanner tends to make colored pencil drawings look a bit washed out, so it's kind of hard to see the texture anymore. I also think that crayolas are a bit more pigmented compared to my dad's colored pencils. I do have a couple prismacolors as well and I think they are even more pigmented than the crayolas. And, like you said, very soft. That is true, too. The pressure of coloring can make a lot of difference. I colored pretty lightly on this drawing, but on my beatles cartoon drawing I used prismacolors and colored very heavily, so it looks extremely different. Thanks once again!

Ohh, I see. Do you know what brand your dad's color pencils are? Prismacolors are just so awesome to me, heh heh. Yeah, so many factors and techniques can make a whole difference, it's so cool to me. You're welcome!

Yeah, most of them are Rexel Cumberland Derwent Studio pencils, and some of them are bruynzeel design. I like the Bruynzeel ones better because they are more pigmented (like prismacolors lol). Yeah exactly!Β

Ohh, nicceee. I'm just tryna expose myself to different brands; hopefully someday I can experiment more, but I'm very grateful for any pencils, honestly.

Yeah, Ikr. Can't get enough of being the same, but adventuring on other things is fun, too. Yeah, you're right. I know someone who's a great example of how buying quality materials doesn't always mean you have quality artwork, haha. (Not saying my work is great or better, neither is their work, but their ego can get to them and even to my nerves and tolerance levels).

heh exactly! ah I feel you, there are a lot of people who seem to think that professional supplies guarantee skill and it either makes them too afraid to be proud of their art or too stuck up about it!
