Pink works as a color for Sally even still, but it would probably lead to some people complaining that there are two pink Sonic characters. To which I would simply say "

Think of the first 2 years of the Archie Sonic comic when Sally was pink colored! And a Season 1 Sonic Sat AM episode called "Heads or Tails" when she was pink colored!
