Shots taken from the back of my work of today's bushfire at Upwey Belgrave, Victoria, Australia. These shots span a time frame of around 1.5 - 2 hours.

Since the wind was not blowing towards us, we didn't get any heat or smoke. A cool change arrived around shots 7 and 8, and the temperature dropped from about 34°c to 24°c in about 30 minutes. Shortly after, much of the smoke died down, as shown in the final shots. You can also see how much smoke was carried from the fire here.

This fire was a fairly serious one, yet nowhere near as devastating as the fires of what is now known as Black Saturday (Feb 7, 2009)

Below is just one of many galleries of photos from that day. It is a day that Australians will never forget.

Look at that smoke... I am glad that the fire die down, did any firefighter came to put it out? it was so dangerous what if is gets bigger? Anyway Thank God for the fire went down, and you didn't get any smoke.. I felt like this fire it's good one, full of love hahaha, he is just too kind to let himself go and burn all the things out, so he choose to die alone. And thank you for the photos.

I think the fire was quickly controlled. Though, it did affect a lot of streets near it. We were listening to the radio at work, and there were at least 20 streets that were warned of danger from the fire.

My sister was nearly caught up in the Daylesford fire. She was there that day, and actually saw it start. She got some photos from her phone. It was pretty scary for them. As they were leaving, they were the only car heading away from the fire. She said so many cars were heading towards the fire. Friends and families rushing to their homes to get people or evacuate.

I think a lot of them are arson - deliberately lit.

Wow, that's pretty intense, those are some crazy smoke clouds. The pretty blue sky in the first pic just makes it all look more ironic really.

Were you worried at all to see it that close to you? I would've panicked!
