My good friend still gives me shit for loving the movie Ghosts of Mars. I don't know why but I love that shitty movie (everybody has some shitty movies they love), but I think that most movies about Mars are kind of bad. The red planet's cinema record is not so hot but I think books and comics have a better track record, at least in my view.

I think I'm going to make a little serial called SON OF MARS just for shits and giggles. It will be part Ghosts of Mars, part Bladerunner, part Conan, and all nonsense! I always toy around with it in my mind but never really get past doing some sketches, so I made up this little non sequitur mock up page much like the inside cover art on the Japanese AKIRA volumes. I'm a visual person so I think having something to look at helps me create. That and making this was just cheesy fun!
