Description
They're all here...My ninth birthday, my appendectomy,
my graduation, my old room,
my first pet... all of them.
Pressed pages laying between chocolate leather
and edges studded with brass
Heavy in my hands I turn each page and look close
I see the last page and close it
Pondering into space with my preserved past in my lap
and I cry.
I am lost to worn pages and sun bleached photos
with nothing to do, but push forward.
