Very eye-pleasing work! What bothers me I just submitted very similar work to slashTHREE's pack, even scissors are there. CRAP!

I don't really see any obvious connection between the pieces.
Mine concept based on the power of hand made stuff: origami, simple paper, kraft etc. Scissors are a particular element that connects all the details into one scene.
Peolple always use similar stocks and elements in artworks. Don't think there are reasons to worry.
