I've been kicking myself because how could I have not featured Spike (well, officially) in Harmonyverse yet? Exposition time!

In my canon, Spike takes on a more important role in Equestria aside from being the faithful assistant to the Princess of Friendship. As official Dragon Ambassador, Spike holds a place in the Court of Harmony, an order made up of Equestria's royalty and the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, among other qualified ponies. Spike's duties include the handling of relations between the Dragon Lands and Equestria, strengthening the friendship between both kingdoms and keeping the peace at all times. Given his friendship with Dragon Lord Ember, Spike was basically hand tailored for the job, and he takes his duties seriously (with buckets of pride, too). Nonetheless, he's still happy to be Twilight's right-hand dragon, and he still attends to her needs faithfully. Other titles under his belt include official castle steward, Hero of the Crystal Empire, and, more recently, principal Royal Guard to Twilight- more on that last title later!

Spike's uniform was tailored by Rarity, and he wears it with pride every day, hehe. Also, side note: Spike can perform magic now! Although not as sophisticated as pony magic, Spike is able to manipulate fire and perform other basic spells. Given that his hatching was far from normal for a typical dragon, the magic that helped birth him, Twilight's magic, courses through him, too, although it took a while for it to come out fully. When Spike's abilities started to crop up, Twilight became extremely excited- she's helped him every step of the way to develop his skills. Spike's in his late teenage years here, and boy did he get a growth spurt, hehe.

I've got a huuuuge soft spot for Spike, so I'm incredulous that I haven't gotten around to fleshing his development out for Harmonyverse yet. I did do a piece similar to what I talked about way back when over here , but as for introducing him officially, I guess I just never got around to it. Spike's come a long way, and I can't wait to show off his growth in Harmonyverse canon. I had loads of fun designing him, so I hope you guys enjoy!
