Freaking nailed it man. I love the military sci fi stuff here on DevArt, but you really got into the details. The Staff Sergeant rank is perfect, exactly how you see it on official army products at least since 2001.Β
We're even barcoding our gear nowadays. Why? Makes inventory and and weapons turn in go much faster when you scan versus read off serial numbers. I can see them doing that for exo suits too. They're gonna have to go in an arms room when you're done using them anyhow, just like all the other dangerous kit. Β

I see the Tavor and the G36, but isn't than an American soldier? (The patch on the helmet)
Both are great weapons. I myself own a Tavor, but I doubt the American military will adopt either of them any time soon.

A large majority of the US Military's small arms are foreign made; SIG P226 is Swiss, M9 is Italian, M249, FN SCAR and M240 are Belgian, M320, HK416/417, M27 and MP5 are German, and so on. The replacement for the venerable M16 will probably be American, given the history of US military small arms

FN USA is making the current run of M4s even. Though based in South Carolina, their parent company is of course FN Herstal, Belgium.Β

I wasn't saying that America only uses American weapons. I meant that those two specific rifles are not currently being used by the US military.

75th Ranger Regiment uses the SCAR, HK416 is used by the Marines as the M27

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Yeah, the US Military doesn't use those. I think some police departments use them though

Thought the scar variants were the ones to replace the m4 series. I keep wondering what happened with that.Β Β

It's funny. Nobody seems to remember that US military and police forces sometime (often) used foreign weapon design until today. Even if the company are located in the USA, HK, FN Herstal, Glock... are all foreign brand. I mean, they use foreign design and licenses. US military used Beretta, Sig Sauer, etc.Β I'm french and as far as I remember french special forces and intervention groups use their weapons of choice. Usually german HK or italian gunshot.Β Β So, why not a G36 and/or a Tavor???
ps: sorry for my bad english.

For one, apparently the US Military does not trust polymer for some reason, which both the Tavor and G36 are made of.Β

Nice Work.... and as for the gun experts, a Tav does the same thing an AK or an M4 ..... it's not the gun, it's the shooter.
