I've been blessed and honored to be able to make this cover for Spawn #272. I have to say that I've been a Spawn fan since its beginning back in the 90's. Todd MacFarlane and Greg Capullo inspired me a lot and still are some of my comics heroes. I still can't believe I made it. Thank you mister McFarlane for giving me the opportunity to bring my humble, small, tiny brick into your huge wall.ΒI also attached a very ooold sketch I did from the Spawn/Batman crossover back in 1994. I was 17. Time flies.Β

Nice, Brian Hoguin was one of my teachers for a college class i took that was Comic Book Coloring. He Wrote and did art for Spawn. Do you know of him?

Spawn never made sense to me.Β Why does a demon need guns?Β Other than it's just cool to draw guns.Β I always figured McFarlane started Spawn just to draw massive capes, chains and guns.Β The story was irrelevant.

Al Simmons needs guns because he has to save his power. If you'd like to kniow why, then please read the comics.

Al simmons is a trained soldier. Guns are weapons he's most familar with.

Huge Spawn fan, so finding this in the Daily Deviations tab is a wonderful treat. Glad you became part of the massive story - albeit small, it's very noteworthy.

It is...last time I checked and it was like a year ago, story had become a convulted mess. They should stop the comic at the Armageddon arc when it finished. That'll be a good ending to the series.

Very bad ass! If this is the type of art which continues to be a part of the Spawn universe, I might just have to start collecting and reading this line again. Really didn't like when Image brought in Ashley Wood.
