Did a live demo for the RPG team here at work. This character portrait was done from imagination with an old russian mafia boss type character in mind. Throughout the demo i emphasized the importance of value management.Related content

This is so beautiful, and from the imagination makes it even more impressive. I really like how you've left the sharp brushstrokes in the clothing which compliments the harder, more contrasted shadows in the portrait. Seeing that you've done a lot of portraiture, do you feel that it's helped engrain in your mind how the certain plains and shading work, depending on lighting?
