There's a good sense of intensity to this, you've definitely nailed the sense combat here, good choice with your colour palette

I wouldn't say that combat is the right word to use. It looks to me as thought the mech is walking a fair distance away from the scene of actual combat, looking for something in the rubble. The background however, is what really got me the most. Really sent my creative gears spinning. I even have got an idea that can help me further the plot of the story that I'm working on. Tangents aside, I don't feel any intensity or feeling of rapidity or huridness in this picture.

That's... really cool. The screen reminds me of your old 16-bit look being completely juxtaposed with this badass picture. Just... great work.
One qualm would have to be that the picture could have been made much more interesting - shove a corpse in there and you have instant memorabilia, but all the same that's one hell of a pic.
