Description These are the three illustrations that I made for various texts about Slavic ethnology and mythology. So here are short explanations, from left to right.

Bread
The primary ritual objects, present in almost all Slavic rituals. Usually decorated with solar symbols. Served with salt it is part of a welcome greeting ceremony.

Living fire
Ritual fire, made by friction between two pieces of the wood. It is believed to possess many magical attributes.

Beard of Veles
The last sheaf of wheat, kept inside of house, so that Veles, grant wealth to the household.

Intresting. I didn't know the last sheaf was called "beard of Veles"

That is one of the names. It is really interesting, name for it among Czech people can be "děd" or "starý" (grandpa, old one) among us, Serbs, it is known as "božja brada" (gods beard) and among Russians custom is known as завивания бороды Волосу (curling of Veles's beard).
