Description This was the sunset on 4-Jan as I left work. I didn't have a chance to whip out the tripod, so the end effect is a bit blurry, but I wanted to share the shot.

The sky literally looked like it was on fire. Very red/orange with purple/magenta around the edges.

Normally as a photographer, nothing frustrates me more than city stuff/powerlines/cars etc. getting in the way of a good sunset or nature shot, but for this one, the cars and parking lot add a very...surreal effect. It's a good contrast.

This is a really stunning example of nature coming down to grace us motals with her beauty, even if it's in the city!

Absolutely beautiful, possibly one of my favoritest favorites of all time

Thanks. I wish I could have been 10 minutes sooner. In the 5 minutes I was there it dwindled to nothing, so I can only imagine what it looked like before.

sunsets are a bitch to catch sometimes -- in just seconds you could be in the perfect window that will never appear again... been there many times...
