Description
This is a digital painting I made using pictures I took when I went to Mont Royal with some friends recently. I also used pictures I took of clouds and the moon from various places in Montreal then hand-painted some parts like the bird and all the colors. I'm still practicing photography and learning more about color in images and combining that with all my 2D/3D knowledge to hopefully make nicer images.

The vegetation is all from one picture, the clouds were made from 2 pictures, the planets from other pictures and the bird painted using a picture of a bird as reference. The picture of the vegetation was taken when it was very sunny outside, but I wanted to turn it into more of a sunset/sunrise so I painted in that stuff and the light beams manually.

Color correction also done with the help of Color Efex 3. The original pictures were all pretty dull and uninteresting.

Software used: Photoshop and 3DS Max for the sketch. (basic scene to get the camera angle and object placement the way I like 'em)
