HAHA MORE FANTASY SHIT I'M SORRY I was going through my folder for this project and realized how many little sketches hadn't been posted so oops, a sketchdump!

Excellent :3 Black feather shapes swirling around ominously, the silhouette alone could become a whole dang panel. Constance has changed quite a bit from this first concept, so she won't have ravens anymore sadly. She does have a couple little dragons though!

If they're expressive I'd peg them as at least partway cute just 'cause.

Ohhhh, i see... They'dΒ probablyΒ be cute-ugly, then. Unless you went and chibified them. Then they'd be cute-cute :3 Or walking-tadpole cute... Or giant-eyeballs salamander cute :3
omg that would be so adorable. Little mini-dragons with tadpole-type tails and big heads all cute and scaly but jumpy and hyper with long necks like baby birds, and then little snake tongues tasting everything, teething on the wood spoons and tables and chairs and Constance's magic supplies, causing baby-pet mayhem and running around... One sitting on the table munching a grape... Eating soup out of aΒ spoon someone held up at them... Chewing a leftover chicken bone... Climbing up Linette's leg and hiding in her hair... Hiding in the sink... Burrowing into the laundry... curling up in a lap for petting (because the lap belongs to friendly people and they're so nice and warm, y'know) chasing each other and knocking stuff off the kitchen counter... Harassing the local cats (are there any?) and vice versa...
Sorry, the cute just goes on and on I'm in splurge mode :/

They're like scaly armored lizard pigeons... Was that the intention? They're probably all cantankerous in the winter, unless being part bird means they're warm-blooded... Then they'd still be miserable in the cold air without enough feathers :/

These are really cool! I really love your character design stuff! But I'm curious why you mad the eye/ mouth glow for the ogres and goblins? not that it's bad or anything, I personally think its cool. just curious what your reasoning was behind it.

It's part of the magic system I'm playing with for this world, depending on how different people channel and learn their magic, it manifests on their body differently.
The Ogres and Goblins all belong to the race of Orcs , who are the most in-touch with their magic on a physical level. Their elements manifest through their eyes and mouth

I really love the goblins being portrayed as something other than unintelligent brutes. The concept of them possessing technology, advanced culture etc is interesting and refreshing!

Awesome work but it needs more psycho ogre faces, Red demon-eyed witches, and goblin flamethrowers to be truly epic!
Also as someone who just started fantasy short story, is there a such as a black comedy that's too dark? Β At which point does the massive pile of dead bodies that the protagonist has to climb over become too big?

I have a question tho: for your races how would acculturation work? Can different ethnicities of one race interbreed? Can the other races interbreed with each other? What would that look like...?
