Waiting for the worthy...Tools - Cinema 4D, Adobe Photoshop
My initial idea was to make the center of sword half blue and half red. I changed it to red only because it looked better to me (actually blue color didn't rendered out as I expected). The red part glows red hot in the hands of the one who is worthy..
I wanted to add more details and better textures but it was painful to wait for rendering to see each single change.
