Description
This is my current work in progress... Kouga of the Wolf Demon Tribe.
I hope you like him so far. As I'm still working things out, he might change somewhat from what I finish off with. Certain things are bothering me now... but anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know I was doing something constructive. Hope you like.
Please, NO CRITIQUES. I am not professional, and only draw to make myself feel good. If you don't like what I draw... please, don't comment.
More than likely I cannot correct things anyway, as I draw very dark, and erasing is nearly impossible.

So jealous of your style of art! So much detail that it make it more amazing than it already is! And I just viewed all your Inu stuff and its all really beautiful! The realistic features are just out of this world!

Thank you. But you shouldn't envy. Anyone can do this, I believe, with a little practice. I really should try to draw more on this again. I've been so out of it. A lot of depression can do that to you. I haven't got it in me. But I do appreciate that you've commented so sweetly.

This is off to a smashing start for a work-in-progress. Koga looks quite pensive as he tries to come up with yet ANOTHER plan to make Kagome his mate. Great job on the angle of his head, and the lean, yet muscular build of a long-distance runner. I always enjoy seeing how other artists do the structure work of their artwork. Used to be able to draw like you do, yet after a while everything looked completely off = structure lines & circles help the artwork stay balanced. Koga's right hand is a bit off in the structure of the wrist which has NO bump where the lower forearm meets the hand. Ask friends, family or models to do this pose to improve it until it becomes second-nature to you. The left shoulder should be lowered to an inch to make it feel more natural, and to make it balanced. The fingers should be made a bit longer since your hand can cover your face. 
Whenever I draw Koga for my fan art of Inu-Yasha I always add the black cat-like pupil to make him look like the rest of the IY cast.
I've always been fascinated by Japanese mythology so it's a HUGE source of Inspiration for my artwork, and stories.
Some people don't get anime at all SO IT'S their loss not yours, and just completely ignore the people at where you work who give you a bad time. I've been there and done it in junior high school, and it stopped. We artists draw what we like.

Thank you for your comment. I'll work on it when I get back to drawing again. Been too busy, and this work is barely finished, I haven't gotten to the arms and legs and chest yet. I will eventually when I get back to it. I've not felt like drawing, too many bad things going on in my life right now. Thanks again.

Well... I'm sick with a spring cold... sore throat is horrible, fighting a cough, it's killing me. And I feel so drained, and I have to go back to work for over time tomorrow.

He looks a bit old but maybe it is just because he's unfinished. The shadig technique is awesome, as allways, so can't wait to see him finished!

I believe it is because he is darker, and his eyes are so pale, his hair isn't finished to darken around his face... but I tend to over shade. Remember, I... illegally apparently... age up the characters. LOL! Shame on me... I'm kind of back to leaving him like this for a while... I'm not feeling very well right now. But I'll get back into the swing soon and finish him up. I took some bad ribbing from fellow workers about him, so it kind of put me off just a little. Most people don't understand a fascination from an almost 40 year old over anime.

Oh My God! I experienced people looking down on anime and anime fans but generally I don't give a ... about these opinions. I know that there is a lot to it and I love it. And why does it matter what you draw - you are very talented that's all they should care about.
And btw, who said you are illegally age up characters? Was this another weird dA-thing?

Yes, DA has gotten rid of artwork that they deem illegally aged up. None of mine, yet, knock wood.
