Description This is a work in progress pic I've been working on the last while. This is for my upcoming book, Aardehn the Devil's Leech, which I plan to release next year at some point. There will be a total of 13-15 illustrations along similar lines accompanied by lyrical text or poetry.
Blue lining it then inking it. I have quite a lot left to do but it's on its way. When the final is done, I will post it. Hope you like

Super clean. I always wonder how some artists get that super clean inked line going. I've tried many types of pen/liner/gels and can never get this sort of thing. I basically settled on sharpie liners 'cause they're cheap and readily available. Is this brush by chance? Or india ink? Awesome work.

I use Koh-I-Noor refillable pens. I've had the most success with them thus far. I also from time to time use the felt tip pens for inking over whited out mistakes, which I tend to have a lot of. I've used nib but for these kind of technical, tight illustrations, I find the Koh-I-Noor to be the best suited.

Thanks for the insight. I'll look those up hopefully I can find some. Really awesome illustrations though. Sometimes I see peoples work in person, up close and it blows my mind how clear you can get things to look. I've not been that good. Hopefully with time.

Great drawing! Β Terrible photograph Β I know it's not the final product, but it would be nice if you could scan it anyway.
