Description
My character Farren Elkhardt and her war horse Greyfell (which my novel-in-the-works is named after) returning to their homeland of Hestdaal.
This is one of my final pieces in my senior thesis.

Here is a small excerpt from the story:
"It was eerily quiet as she rode, the only sound was that of the thud of Greyfell's large hooves on the impacted dead grass which seemed to resonate through the valley. In her human form Farren had the look of the forest about her, the fur lining on her well traveled attire swayed gently with each step of her fathers massive steed. Her hair was something of a non-color, gray like rain, that fell in wild strands onto her delicate shoulders and her breath could be seen in the dry winter air. She slowed their pace as they approached the gates of Hestdaal."
