I think that may be because not everyone has money to spend on commissions, and the majority of people on DeviantART do commissions nowadays. But there are ways of fixing that, sorta.

Your stuff caught my attention, but you're trying to compete with the rest of DeviantART, where countless artists are trying to get noticed. You can do things that will bring notice to you in some ways, one way is to try doing requests rather than commissions. Requests will allow for everyone to get involved with your work instead of people with money to blow, and those people that you do requests for will most likely share your work with others. It's a cycle that takes time, and you'll never run out of things to do. These are just suggestions that will help you out in the long run, and I'm not telling you this as a fan, I'm telling you this as a friend.

I really do want to help you, since you're like me in a way, but I'm not sure how much I can do for you. The only thing I can recommend is try switching from commissions to requests.

Oh do not worry i can do this. However i will not do requests i am passed that and it also would not be fair towards people who commissionsed me in the past. I will continue to have commissions, art trades however are more likely but only for people i would want to trade with
