I was using photo reference..the pose is from a photo of Iraqi policeman(?) who patrols with US forces.
I've recorded my coloring process & uploaded it to Youtube

Another awesome drawing man. Love those muscles and that Kalashnikov. Looks a bit shorter than the usual AKs and too long for the AK-74U.
Maybe she's holding an IMI Galil? Although the handguard is nothing like on the Galil.

well it was based on many AK variants / derivative out there
it has galil feel (receiver cover), early AK-47/Type-56 (cocking handle), AKS-74U (handguard), AK-101 (magazine), etc lol
