Gray clouds loomed over the bustling district, staring at the damned people going about their daily lives. Well, trying to without catching frostbite . Winter had laid down and wasn’t going to move for another 2 and a half months. Fumes from cars way too heated melted the snow on the painted road, which drained to the side and waited to jump at anybody having a bad day to make it worse.

A blonde watched as the water slush claimed another victim. His eyes were the sky on a sunny day, making anyone melt. He chuckled as he thought of what were to happen if that dark haired girl with squared framed glasses were is lover. No doubt he’d laugh his ass off, then get punched for it.

“Hey, Naruto” a delicate voice snapped him out of thinking. He turned his whiskered rosy cheeks to the source of the voice. “Nani? What is it Sakura?” He asked, tilting his head.
She had her arms linked with a raven bundled up in different layers of black who was smiling as he sang carols. Her pink bangs falling out of her white toque. Her green eyes fitted with lite pink glasses. She point heavenwards. “Were there”

He looked up and sure enough they were at their destination, Konoha. A small coffee and cake house. Windows lined with lights as welcoming to people who needed to warm up. Bells jingled as they entered the warm scented shop. Naruto sniffed the air, taking in the mixture of coffee and flour, it made him warm up instantly.

He spotted a young teen waiting a group of people. Dark hair pulled into a rat tail and wearing loose black uniform. As the brunette scribbled down the final order of the customers, he finally recognized him.

“Hey! Inari! Is that you?” he waved his hand at the boy. Said boy looked up from the filled notepad. Brown eyes lit up as he saw who called him. “Onii-san?!” Inari gawked, he put his tools away and ran to Naruto. Inari then hugged his Idol. “It’s been forever since you visited!” Naruto laughed at the action and rubbed his head. “ Of course I haven’t!” he laughed “ College is killing me!”

“Of course your failing, Naruto,” Sakura cut in. “Anyone would if they only played final fantasy with Kiba all semester” Inari looked at the blonde boy questionly and snickered.

“Sakura! That’s mean!” he pouted. Sakura only giggled. “ She’s right, Naruto.” the man Sakura’s arm was linked with agreed. “ You only played games and screw around, you surely fail” He slyly spoke. Naruto shot the guy a disdained look “ Fuck you Sai” he spat and stuck his tongue out childishly. Raven dramatically gasped “Sasuke will kill me if I took up you offer.” He received a punch from the blushing blonde.

Sakura was frowning at the kiddy display of the grown men, but laughed none the less. Her and Sai have been going out for 4 months now, She knew he was kidding. Sai did like Naruto at a point, but when Sasuke whisked Naruto away, he started to notice her. Rosette smiled at the memory.

“Oh, Inari. Can we have a table now? I’m kind of tired of standing with these bakas” She pointed her thumb towards the problem, ignoring Naruto’s blames on Sai of their waiting. Inari perked up “Sure. How many people?” He questioned, grabbing menus for three. Sakura counted her gloved fingers. Mouthing names. “Thirteen” She replied. Inari looked at her “Serious?” He asked, disbelief in his voice. She nodded, bangs bouncing. He sighed and looked at the tables. The max the had were sat six people. He’d have to make adjustments.

“Can you wait for a minute? I need to push some tables together.” with that he left.

Naruto tapped his feet on the wooden entrance. He had given up on trying to gut beat up the Sasuke clone.
