This gorgeous thing is a Sith Fury class Interceptor, first introduced in the game Star Wars: The Old Republic. Sadly, it has been downgraded to 'Legends' status by Disney/Lucasfilm. I've been trying to find one to render for weeks with little luck (just poorly detailed models). Today I found one on Blendswap by Rocz3D. The only problem was it was in Blender format. Undaunted, I simply downloaded Blender (which, like DAZ Studio, is completely free!) and holding my breath, exported this beauty into OBJ format. You never know with conversions, often they come out completely messed up. I was thrilled to see the Fury come out perfect, though without any textures. Thankfully, the 3D artist who created this wonderful ship had the parts of the model well defined so an evening of using various IRAY textures and emission lighting resulted in a quite nice, fully textured model. This ship in the Star Wars Universe, was created about 3,000 years before the time frame of Star Wars: A New Hope. Unlike the similar looking TIE fighters, this baby is a full ship with a crew of three and with the capacity for 15 passengers. There are several game shots from The Old Republic that show the interior. I've considered recreating the ships main rooms for DAZ renderings, but they'd not be actually inside this model.
