Here it is; the first official drawing for Alexandria Masters, a recent character of mine (created back in 2001) and one I'm very proud of.

I've got three pictures of her from around this time; each will have a little information about her, so be sure to check all of them for her full story!

Alex began as a fancharacter for a Gundam-based fanfiction series I did called 'Gundam Wing: Master Legacy'. Basically, it primarily concerned the cast of Gundam Wing a few years after the conclusion of Endless Waltz, going about their lives as best they could. However, as is traditional, a new threat arose, making it necessary for them to return to active duty. The twist was that the threat was an alien attack on Earth rather than homegrown rebellion.

How does Alex fit into all this? Within the storyline, she was a close friend to Duo Maxwell, and was intially to be the pilot of the Gundam Deathscythe. When she learned the full details of Operation Meteor, she planned to take the Deathscythe and prevent the other pilots from causing too much devastation. Unfortunately, she was knocked unconscious, and Duo ended up taking the Deathscythe instead. Her character still had a small role to play, however; her father was among the casualties in the Eve Wars, and she herself saw action in the events of Endless Waltz, hijacking a Serpent and helping to reduce their numbers. During the course of the storyline itself, she'd eventually become a financial backer and agent of the Preventer organization.

GW:ML went on for four years and twenty-two stories, shifting between various message boards until I was ultimately banned from the final one due to lack of involvement beyond fanfiction (I'd begun to lose interest in Gundam about this time). Adding fuel to the fire was the fact that I stole many concepts and ship designs from various other sources, chief amongst them Star Trek and Babylon 5. It's now archived at a Yahoo! Group.

So far as characters, I ended up including or referencing various other corners of the Gundam saga, ranging from the classic storylines to the modern stuff (SEED isn't mentioned much, however). It was kind of a fun ride, but I'm glad it's over.

As to the picture? Featured is a headshot of Alex, a view of her in a Preventer uniform, and in a somewhat out-of-character outfit.
