I really like the design of this creature, was this for a job or just for fun? The twisted muscles on his abdomen feel so natural for this thing not to mention I love the attention to detail in his arms (with the lumpy dots and also the muscles there). You did a fantastic job! I was wondering, what type of pens/brushes did you use to ink this picture? The lines look so crisp and you can really see the variation in their weights.

Thank you. This is just part of a series of 100 ink drawings I've been doing for quite a while, now. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for the compliments. I started with a light pencil sketch and inked it with Sakura Pigma Micron pens, sizes 005 and 01.

I have a Lovecraft book sitting around somewhere, collecting dust. I read the first story in it: The Cave (I think). Outside of that, I sat next to a guy in art school who was obsessed with Cthulhu (sp), and that's the extent of my H.P. Lovecraft knowledge. I may have to start reading that again, though.
