Description P.S. This is my best interpretation of this species so far but it is quite difficult setting up the arrangement of the antlers

Temporal range: Early Pliocene to Early Pleistocene, 5.3 to 0.011 million years ago
Location: North America and Eurasia

Height: 1.8 meters (6 feet) long
Weight: 708.5 kilograms (1,562 lbs)
Diet: Herbivore

The environment occupied by this North American deer is similar to that of the modern moose - swamps, bogs and wetlands surrounded by sparse forests and tundra. This suggests that it probably had the same lifestyle, wading in the chill waters and feeding on the lakeside vegetation. It may have been displaced by the true moose that crossed from Asia via the Berling Strait land bridge as the last Ice Age ended.

Cervalces is built like a mixture of a moose and an elk. In appearance it would have looked like a moose with very long legs and the head like that of an elk. The antlers are flat like those of a modern moose, but they were much more complex. In size the animal is larger than the modern moose.
