yep - just coffee with water - this is my first though a little tricky cos the coffee drys a little too quickly before i could get my strokes in , i kinda messed it up - but i probably might try it a couple of times till i get the hang of it.!

Cool, I might try using coffee to paint too. Because right now the brown paints I have don't always come out looking like wood shades or soil shades. Have you tried painting with tea? I imagine it'd be good for watercolor-like washes.
